Daily practices with emphasis on pranayama and meditation. 5-day Yoga intensive with 2-daily asana practices, philosophy discussions and workshops in the valley of the Andes.

LIMA

Our start and end point to allow you to acclimatize to the journey ahead and decompress before traveling home. We will stay in the Mira Flores district near the beach and experience the blend of culture, history and modern industry.

SACRED VALLEY

Sacred Valley of the Incas or the Urubamba Valley. We will travel from Lima to Cusco by domestic flight and then shuttle bus to the Munay Sonqo Retreat centre for our yoga intensive. The magic is felt in this sacred and pristine landscape. You can expect archaeological sites, restorative nature and deep ancient wisdom. From here we will travel to Ollantaytambo to catch the train to Aguas Calientes (Machu Picchu).

MACHU PICCHU

The most famous archaeological site of Peru, UNESCO heritage site and one of the 7 Wonders of the World. We will journey to Machu Picchu through the experience of the mountain - to steep into the wisdom and be guided by healers, shamans and the ancient technology of this sacred site.

CUSCO

The historical capital of the Inca empire and Spanish colonial city. Expect cobblestone streets, ancient ruins and Colonial structures, Shopping through the artisanal markets, taking in tours and teachings from local guides or exploring the near-by sites.

Early Bird Deadline: March 1st, 2023

Deposit: a $500 USD non-refundable deposit is required on booking to secure your spot. Deposit payment can be made in USD cash, USD bank transfer, credit card or CND email transfer at current exchange rate. Full final payment must be made in USD.

Full Investment:

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Cancellation Policy: In the event of cancellation, final payment will be refunded less a $200 administrative fee and the $500 non-refundable deposit if the cancellation is made prior to September 1, 2023, the date in which all final payments are due and payments are non-refundable after this date. In the event the retreat is cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, entire payments will be refunded to all participants.

• Travel Insurance: Due to the nature of this retreat, travel health insurance is required for participation. Additional travel insurance (ie. airline cancellation insurance) is encouraged and can be purchased at the discretion of each individual.

• Travel Visa: Canadians do not require a visa to visit Peru. The maximum stay is 183 days and your passport must be valid for a minimum 6 months beyond the date you expect to leave Peru.

• How do I secure my spot and what happens next? To secure your spot please email info@andrewmisleyoga.com. You will be required to place your $500 non-refundable deposit. On receipt of your deposit you will receive an information package with further information and a participant questionnaire to complete.

• Which Airport should I fly into? Please arrange your travel to/from Lima’s Jorge Chavez International Airport (LIM). Please note that international flights are not included in the retreat package.

• When does the retreat start and end? The retreat begins in the evening of November 2nd in Lima and completes in the morning of November 16th in Lima. You may arrive early or extend your stay in Peru at your preference but all travel and accommodation arrangements for dates outside of November 2 - 16 are the participant’s responsibility.

• What can I expect as a daily itinerary? A detailed information package will be provided upon placing your deposit. You can expect the 14-days together to weave yogic and spiritual teachings and experiences, cultural immersion into the ancient Inca and Andean traditions, time in nature, group activities and time for solo exploration and integration. We structure our retreat experience around each unique location and our intention is to allow for space for free time, self discovery and independent experiences within the group dynamic. This is NOT a vacation tour or yoga vacation but rather an opportunity to step into a journey to connect you deeper to your path and purpose.

• What should I pack to bring with me? A detailed packing list will be provided in the information package including details on climate and recommended gear for the yoga intensive and hiking excursions in Machu Picchu.

In addition, will be hosting an in-person pre-retreat meet & greet gathering with all participants in October 2023 in Edmonton, AB and also live-streaming this gathering to any participants outside of Edmonton.
